A book to find your own inner voice.
“A story to listen to us and get to know each other better.” That is the definition of the story, but this time I have to say that it is not so easy to reach that conclusion for a very young child.
Although the story is recommended from 6 years old, I would put more age so that they understand it well. It is a simple story, short and easy to read, but not so much to understand in the eyes of a small child. Noah is 10 years old and has not understood the background, asked many questions, told me he did not understand it and went to play.
Instead, I see it as perfect for older kids who need to listen more and get to know themselves. At ages as complicated as pre-adolescence, I think it can be put to better use as an example of good inner listening and analysis of themselves so they know who they are and the direction they are taking.
The illustrations I can not deny that they are beautiful and transport us to the place where the story develops to the point that you can almost feel the rustling of the leaves when stepping on them or the characteristic sound of a forest.
